Azido-poly(ethylene glycol)-block-poly(L-lysine hydrochloride) is a
linear hydrophilic block copolymer which has a poly(L-lysine
hydrochloride) section and an azide functionalized PEG section. It is a
crystalline solid soluble in water. Upon derivatization of the
poly(L-lysine hydrochloride) part, it can self-assemble into particles
in aqueous solution with a hydrophobic poly(L-lysine) core and a
hydrophilic PEG shell. Applications for azido-poly(ethylene
glycol)-block-poly(L-lysine hydrochloride) include the conjugation to
active molecules for improved activities, the layer-by-layer deposition
techniques, and the complexation with nucleic acids for gene expression.
Our azido-poly(ethylene glycol)-block-poly(L-lysine hydrochloride)
has been purified by dialysis, sterile-filtered on 0.2um, lyophilized,
and stored under Ar.
Storage Conditions:
Store azido-poly(ethylene glycol)-block-poly(L-lysine
hydrochloride) under the condition of flushing with argon and protecting
from light, and below -15°C.
